All Hands Public Speaking Accelerator

The All-Hands Public Speaking Accelerator

Bringing the "TED" experience to all-hands meetings across the world!

If you gave your employees a choice between attending your all-hands meeting or watching a recording of it, which would they choose?

In theory, all-hands meetings are an opportunity to reinforce comany culture, create a sense of community among global teams and align company strategy. The reality is, many employees see them as an unncessessary distraction from the job that they've been paid to do.

The result?

Well, instead of employees leaving the meeting with a renewed a sense of pride for their job, excited for where the company is heading next and empowered about the part they are playing in that vision, many are just relieved they don't have to sit through another one for another three months.

And that is a real shame...

Particularly when the organisers and speakers have bust a gut to put on a great show. The bottom line is, both running and presenting all-hands meetings can be a really thankless task.

Your next all-hands meeting could change everything...

And that comes from understanding this one, simple principle...

'Set out to educate, and you will inspire'

Start thinking of your all-hands meeting as a conference or event, and your employees as members of an audience. People attend conferences to learn new things, which is why talking about the company history or developments that everyone already knows about isn't just futile, it's frustrating.

All-hands meetings are not only for showcasing the very best discoveries, stories and employees of the last quarter, but also for addressing shortfalls, knowledging mistakes, and sharing unsolved problems.

Whatever the occasion, there is no doubt that their success is dependent on the presenting team's ability to capture both the hearts and minds of their audience and that's where the All-Hands Public Speaking Accelerator comes into it's own.

Alex is an incredible speaker coach and this course provided rigorous, hands-on insight into how to deliver a great speech. From choosing a theme, structuring, writing and refining content; all the way through to the stage. Whilst delivered 'remotely', I really felt like I was able to benefit from his thorough individual attention - he made himself available for calls and provided a huge amount of specific, one-to-one feedback. I found the experience very challenging... in a great way. It has given me critical tactical strategies for pursuing more public speaking - plus the all-important confidence I was probably lacking to put my head above the parapet on a subject matter I feel strongly about, but was somewhat reluctant to jump into. I'm 'all in' now.

Introducing the Modules...

History has proven time and time again that speeches have the power to change the world, so in this module, I will show you exactly how to hone down the core message of your talk so that it has the potential to have a lasting impact on your audience.

The difference between a first and second draft of a presentation is huge. The problem is, most presentations never get that far. Now that the core content of the talk is sorted, it's time to get clever with how it's communicated.

✅ Story-tell with purpose ✅ Construct persuasive arguments ✅ Master the power of words

The human voice is the most powerful instrument in the world, if you know how to play it. An incredible talk script will never be more than that unless you learn how to captivate your audience

✅ Conquer pre-speech nerves ✅ Radiate confidence on stage ✅ Deliver with conviction

Frankly, Alex is remarkably intelligent, both brutal and constructive, and made me rewrite my talk so many times I almost gave up. Yet he spent tons of time helping me refine it and it's now something I'm really proud of. On top of that, I've learned presentation skills, body language, timing, and how to connect with an audience. The course moves at a fast pace and Alex pushes you hard, however I can honestly say that it's been one of the most rewarding and valuable experiences I've had professionally by a considerable distance.

So how does it work?

The programme happens in the two weeks leading up to the all-hands meeting and consists of 4 group and 4 individual coaching calls.

Everyone on the programme will be given access to an online programme hub. Think of it as a safe space to test ideas, submit homework and practice your talk.

We use a video conferencing software called Zoom which means that employees can take part in the the programme regardless of where they are based around the world.

Every session is recorded, which means if one is missed, they can catch up by watching the recording in the private group.

'So it seems like you taught me well and that I have got the hang of this speaking thing...I got a bloody standing ovation yesterday!

Apparently it was the first standing ovation they’ve ever had! Just wanted to say thank you because I wouldn’t have got there if you hadn’t coached me.'
